در این بخش از آموزش تهیه پایان نامه به زبان انگلیسی سعی کرده ایم نمونه پایان نامه تهیه شده به زبان انگلیسی را ارائه نماییم تا دانشجویانی که قصد انجام پایان نامه به زبان انگلیسی دارند با کلیات آن آشنایی پیدا کنند. پایان نامه حاضر در سال 2010 در دانشگاه شهید تندگویان تهیه شده است. استفاده از پایان نامه حاضر در تهیه سایر پایان نامه ها فقط با ذکر منبع امکانپذیر می باشد.
Most US design codes and standards for pressure-containing equipment do not adequately address degradation and damage during operation. In the pressure vessel and pipeline industries, surface flaws are major limiting factors of vessel or pipe life, and this type of degradation due to age and aggressive environment eventually threatens the structural integrity of the equipment. Replacing vessel and piping equipment is expensive, making it cost-effective and desirable to operate slightly damaged equipment. For corrosion beyond a specified limit or other damage mechanisms like cracking, a Fitness-For-Service (FFS) assessment is required.
Regarding the scale and complexity of both the petroleum facilities and inspection data required for an equipment analysis as well as the number of calculations to be done for a piece of assessment, performing FFS analysis could be a difficult and time-consuming task. The main goal of this study is to develop comprehensive software based on API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 to assist plant personnel in FFS implementation.
The specific objectives for the study are as follows:
• Objective 1: Developing Fitness-For-Service software for general metal loss, local metal loss, and pitting corrosion assessment.
• Objective 2: FFS implementation using the developed software in Abadan Oil Refinery.
• Objective 3: Recommendations for Improving upon the existing methodology to increase the accuracy of the assessment procedures and eliminate some of the limitations.
An FFS assessment is a process that requires a thorough understanding of damage mechanisms, material specifications, and states of stress. Some companies have developed FFS software, but most of them are based on the previous version of API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 which their methodologies are now super ceded. Those which are developed based on the latest version of API 579-1/ASME FFS-1, however, are too expensive or due to prohibition against our country, are not available in our country. The developed software in this work focuses on sound technology to produce a trustable decision about returning a component back to service or not. After technology transfer and training, this software could help plant personnel to perform FFS assessments independently. This FFS software is the first one developed based on the second edition of API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 in Iran.
